Secret Footage

For anyone interested, I just finished my 10th and longest short horror story on Writing. com! It is entitled; "SECRET FOOTAGE" and this one was inspired by this picture below that I took last night. I wanted to capture the old slaughterhouse at night, but when I first came home and uploaded all my photos they were just dark black! I loaded them up into my Adobe program and brought them to life. It was as if they were hiding a secret place in the night.
I planned on some day time photos, but they would not look as creepy as this one below. I will be taking some time and spending a whole day driving around this county I live in here and capturing more of these old buildings and places before they disappear forever with time.

The Guardian of the Dead

Hey everyone, I just finished my new short horror story entitled; THE GUARDIAN OF THE DEAD! It took me quite some time with this one. I can usually think very fast and be flooded with thoughts, but for this story it took a lot of time and thinking. I read this over and rewrote it several times before I published it on Writing. com!
Some stories just come to me, and then some such as this one take a lot of careful thought. I read so many stories on Writing. com and they have the most obvious errors. Mainly spelling errors, and while you are reading those type of errors just drive you crazy! I am sure to proof read my stories again and again before I publish them live. I do the best I can, and to my knowledge all my work is ready for sharing. I am still learning a lot, and as I read a new book or an article on the website I pick up new terms, and grammar skills.

Stone Mountain

Greetings Everyone, I just finished my 7th short horror story on Writing.com!  I encourage horror fans from around the world to read it.  The title; "STONE MOUNTAIN"  It is a must read for gore freaks everywhere for sure!  I have to WARN***  IT CONTAINS EXTREME GRAPHIC CONTENT!!!

I must also add that a few great friends of mine have their new book out.  It is edited by; Alan Draven and contains many great and published Author’s.  You can find it for a small price at amazon.com; The title; SINISTER LANDSCAPES!  I received my copy yesterday and could NOT put it down!  I stayed up all night and in just under 10 hours I read it cover to cover.  Fantastic, Scary, and Creepy book.  It is a horror/gothic/anthology book, and it contains story after story of hair raising tales!

Writing Horror Stories

Hello friends and guests, I started to write my own horror stories now on Writing.com! I have long been writing short stories, but I have always kept them to myself for fear they were not good enough. I always thought my grammar skills were weak, and lacking in my mind. I always was a bit of a perfectionist, I am the type of person to go back over someone elses work and put what I like to call the Mikey twist to it! You can go to writing.com and just read all the great work fellow authors share on there. You can also go there and sign up totally free for one year and start to type your stories. With the upgraded membership which is only around $20 per year you can also write you own novels too! With the free membership you are limited, it does cost money to run the site, so they do like it when you upgrade for $20! You get so much more when you upgrade, you get your own blog, the ability to write novels, and so much more.
The free membership comes with it’s own email address, your own portfolio, the ability to have your writings copyrighted, and reviewed, plus rated! You can also earn gift points from other members who read you work and like it. I have only been there now for a couple days and I already have a very good rating on the two short stories I wrote, plus over 700 gift points which count towards a lot on writing.com They are like a trophy, or money on the site!

Direct TV; Better than Cable?

I would like to start off saying we had cable TV through our local provider for more than 20 years!!!  So the question is; Is Direct TV or Satellite TV better than cable???

Well, I can tell from inside my house with the shades drawn and the doors closed if it is raining or snowing outside!!!  Reason being is because every time it rains we have no TV, or as our TV states; "Searching for Signal"!!!  So I can tell when it’s raining and I can also tell when it stops.  How you may wonder or ask yourself???  Simple, because our TV goes off the air and then comes back on when it stops raining!!!  When we get snow in the winter time that is another story.  The TV doesn’t come back on the air until most of the snow melts off the dish!!!  We have called Direct TV and they have sent out technicians and still we continue to have the same problems.

So we have decided to switch back to our old and reliable cable, or have we???  It seems that Direct TV will NOT let us out of our 2 year contract!!!  That is correct, even having no TV when it rains and snows they will still not let us out of our contract!!!  I understand from reading and researching online that there are several class action law suites against Direct TV!!!  Also even though we paid hundreds of dollars for our dish and DVR receiver, plus two extra receivers we still do NOT own them!!!  That’s right, we are leasing them according to Direct TV!!!

I felt it very necessary to blog about this subject in hopes of saving many other families the torture and frustration.  We are currently working on this issue and have contacted the Attorney General’s office of Pennsylvania!!!  Direct TV offers 99% reliability with their products, and this is not true!!!  Please do not fall for this trick, or as I like to call it; SCAM!!!  Also read the fine print very carefully because you may just be the next statistic out there!!!  Yes we enjoy the extra channels we did not get with cable, but the question remains; When do we get to enjoy these extra channels???  The answer is very simple; When the weather is sunny and there is not a cloud in the sky!!!  Thanks Direct TV for all your help is solving this matter, also thanks again to Direct TV for not letting us out of our contract!!!  That is correct folks, when you purchase Direct TV, get good and ready for 2 full years of aggravation!!! 24 Months of watching your favorite shows 1/4 to 1/2 the way through only to lose your signal and miss the rest of your show!!!

Our Case is Pending, I will touch on this subject again as time goes by and "if" we get any kind of results.
